Getting Started
Your first calculation in under a minute — enter a dimension, pick an operator, read an exact answer, and save it to a project.
Getting started
Your first exact answer is about thirty seconds away.
Your first calculation
- Open ConstructionPal. The calculator is the first thing you see — no menu to fight.
- Type a dimension the way your tape reads it, e.g.
7′ 9 5/8″. - Tap +, type the second dimension, e.g.
4′ 11 3/16″. - Tap =. The answer shows as a fraction and its decimal equivalent, side by side.
That's it. No setup, no account, no tutorial video.
Make the answer look the way you think
- Tap the fraction setting to choose your smallest fraction — 1/2″, 1/4″, 1/8″, 1/16″ (the default), or 1/32″. The display rounds to the nearest displayable fraction; the stored value stays exact.
- Switch the result unit any time — imperial or metric — without retyping. Emphasis changes; nothing is hidden.
Save it to a project
Tap the project control, name it (e.g. "Garcia deck"), and your calculation joins its running subtotal. Tomorrow's measurements add to the same total. See Projects & history.
When the trial ends
Everything works for 14 days. After that, your projects and history stay exactly where they are — visible, exportable, deletable. Only new calculations ask for the one-time $2.99 unlock. See Purchase & unlock.
